Maine Tidal Energy Permit Granted to Oceana Subsidiary

Oceana's wholly-owned subsidiary, Maine Tidal Energy Company, today received a preliminary permit from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to study the feasibility of developing a tidal power project in the Kennebec River between Chops Point and West Chops Point in Sagadahoc County, Maine.

Oceana Subsidiary Signs Collaborative Agreement with PG&E, City of San Francisco

Golden Gate Energy Company, a subsidiary of Oceana Energy Company, today announced that it has signed a collaborative agreement with Pacific Gas and Electric Company and the City and County of San Francisco to advance the development of a tidal power project in San Francisco Bay.

Oceana Receives Five New Tidal Energy Permits

In the past three weeks, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has issued five additional tidal energy study permits to subsidiaries of Oceana Energy Company.  Oceana companies now hold eleven tidal energy permits throughout the United States, and have the right to study the feasibility of developing tidal power projects at sites in seven states.

New Hampshire Tidal Energy Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oceana Energy Company, today received a preliminary permit from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to study the feasibility of developing a tidal power project in the Piscataqua River along the Maine-New Hampshire border.
